JOHN SHARPE is the Founder and President of Sharpe Engineering, Inc. He has practiced engineering since 1994 following graduation from Penn State University with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering. With a diverse background in HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection design, John is responsible for the overall management of engineering operations, coordination, review of projects, and supervision of the engineering staff. Notable career achievements include lead Mechanical Engineer for Chester County's first Open Heart Surgery Center at Chester County Hospital and lead Plumbing Engineer for The Hershey Lodge and Convention Center expansion, Pennsylvania's largest Convention Resort. John is also responsible for the Mechanical Engineering design, analysis, and construction administration.
JOE STILLMAN has over 40 years’ experience in all aspects of Electrical Engineering with the last thirty years as a Professional Engineer. He has completed many significant projects in such diverse fields as Pharmaceutical, Educational, Commercial, Retail and Residential buildings. Notable career achievements include; complete campus-wide fire alarm systems for two teaching hospitals in Philadelphia, PA; a 30,000 square-foot cold storage warehouse with 670 HP Ammonia plant in Tennessee; a complete power system for a data center with 8 MW generator capacity feeding four 2.5 MVA 480V distribution substations in Malvern PA; and a double-ended 13.2 kV high-voltage system coupled to a 9 MW co-generation plant serving an entire university campus Delaware County, PA. Joe is responsible for Electrical Engineering on our projects.
Eric Hess, P.E.
Senior HVAC, Plumbing & Fire Protection Engineer
ERIC HESS has over 14 years of experience in all aspects of HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Protection Engineering. Eric began his career at CRS Engineering in Birmingham Alabama. He has completed many significant projects in such diverse fields as Pharmaceutical/Medical, Educational, and Commercial, Retail, Churches and Residential buildings. Notable career achievements include; 8 building, 1700+ bed student housing development for Auburn University; University of Virginia Long Term Acute Care Hospital in Charlottesville Virginia, and a Comprehensive Cancer Center, Slidell Memorial Hospital in Slidell Louisiana. At Sharpe Engineering, Inc., Eric is responsible for Mechanical Engineering at our Lancaster Office location.
